The short version: The Department of War posted Release 07 on October 23. Its live catalog lists 28 files in this tranche, all PDFs, and explicitly says “Release 07 — no videos.” The archive-wide counter now reads 478 files. That is a document release, not a new video drop, and a released witness account is not the same thing as a resolved case.
The 2026 triangle account: what the archive actually says
The release’s most discussed entry is DOW-UAP-D176, an AARO memorandum for record. The government’s catalog describes it as a debrief of two federal special agents about observations at a sensitive site in the western United States in June 2026, with an account from a third official at another observation post. It says the witnesses described a triangular object rising vertically, pausing, banking and descending into a canyon. The catalog also mentions a second observation the next evening and a ground search that found no visible debris or impact evidence in the area surveyed.
The portal cross-links that memorandum to FBI-UAP-D043, an FD-302 interview record involving two agents and a 2026 UAP report at a national-security site. That relationship is worth examining, but the presence of two forms in the archive should not be counted as two independently measured events. The catalog does not supply a video in this batch or a conclusive identification of the reported object.
Witness descriptions are evidence of a report, not a flight-performance measurement.
AARO’s own catalog warns that shape, color, apparent thermal behavior and motion described in the memorandum reflect the interviewees’ interpretations. It says the record does not reach a conclusion on the object’s nature or origin. Claims about precise speed, propulsion or exotic technology require underlying sensor data and independent analysis; this release’s catalog summary does not establish them.
What else is in the seventh tranche?
The official Release 07 list ranges well beyond the 2026 case. Featured entries include an April 2010 Utah Ranch investigation report and historical reports associated with Catalina Island from 1949, 1952, 1953 and 1955. The catalog also lists a 1957 report from Saudi Arabia. Those are records from different eras and agencies; their inclusion in one release is not evidence that the cases share an explanation. Each deserves its own document-level review.
The department’s release announcement describes this as the seventh rolling batch and says more are being prepared. It does not announce a finding of extraterrestrial origin or resolve the cases in this collection.

Video context—not footage from Release 07
If you came looking for moving images, this batch has none. The video below is CBS News coverage of the earlier September Release 06. It is included to show what the previous video-bearing tranche contained; it is not evidence for the June 2026 triangle report.
Our assessment
Documented release; unresolved reported observation
The publication of 28 PDFs is confirmed by the government’s live catalog. The AARO and FBI entries document interviews and official investigative interest; their public summaries do not settle what was seen. We will update this briefing if a full document review or additional evidence materially changes that assessment.
Reporting note: This dispatch checks the department’s live catalog, individual record descriptions and release announcement. It is not a page-by-page technical analysis of every PDF in the 325 MB bundle. The linked original files are the authoritative record.
